The Deuce Weekly, 8/14 - 8/20/01

Vol II, Iss XIII
8/14-8/20

The "Either Everyone is Gone or In Transition" Shortened DW Edition

There are several of our group in Seattle at the Sequamish Indian Reservation, doing all sorts of mission-type things, so please keep them in your prayers. Anyway, they are gone, plus this is the week many go back to school, including JT, Latta, Ginger, Melissa and more, so I decided to do a short edition of the DW this week, with only upcoming events on it.

Next week, the Deuce Diva Spotlight Haiku continues, along with the Top Ten, the DRL, the Hip Clicks and the number one Christian Album of all Time will be revealed. And, in two weeks, The Deuce Weekly Fall Edition comes to your computer monitor, with details about all the big fall activities coming up. Stay tuned and have a good week!

*Saturday, August 25th... Nightlife 2001 at Valleydale
An annual youth event where tons of kids are led to Christ! This yer, the concert/rally will be held at Valleydale. Sybil says we never have enough counselors for the youth that want to talk about Christ! To volunteer to help, email

*Saturday, September 1st... The Deuce Football Championships.
The DFC is only three weeks away. Beginning September 1st, the predictions of college and pro games will come and the standings will go up... can Shawn Sharp duplicate his wire-to-wire number one like last year's dream season? Or will Wookiee finally realize his dream and hold the Brook DeRamus Championship Plate high? Or will it be another up and comer, like Michael Nipp who fell short of the finals, or Osborne, who fell just short of the playoffs, or Drew Morris, Scott Latta or Ken Nipp? August 24th is the deadline to sign up... contact
Tanguy2001@aol.com for more details.
