The DRL (deuce request live) Top Five of Everything
The WalkAbout Dinner Theater Edition
5... Dr. Earl, taking care of one of my girls after she sliced her toe on some metal (Kourtney Kelley did just this.. slicing her foot on a piece of sharp grating that hung from the Jungle ceiling. Earl took care of her until her parents got her to the doctor to get stitches)
4... Our boat people-Tommy, Coop, Jenn and Drew
3... Eddy, for being foolish enough to let me run things. Ha! Sucker!
2... Daniel Powell, the do it all guy of the week (Daniel was the man this weekend, he really did do almost everything technical)
1... Scott Latta, for the random act of eating a stale cookie onstage. (Man, this was funny)
Just missed the cut: Josh the Maitre'd, Krista Mc, Robin Paschel, Shawn Sharp and Dinner Theater weekend.

The Spotlight Haiku
This is number 7 out of our 8 part Deuce Haiku Series... this time, darn it, I give the spotlight to ME! Well, actually, me and the drama team... courtesy of Steph Nipp.

Top Ten Christian Albums of All Time,
as voted on by you, the DW audience.
We now move up to the number six spot on our countdown... and here are Drew Morris' top five: 5) Supertones, "Strike Back"; 4) MxPx, "Life in General"; 3) dcTalk, "Jesus Freak"; 2) Craig's Brother, "Homecoming"; 1) dcTalk, "Free at Last".
Number Ten - Craig's Brother, "Homecoming"
Number Nine - Third Day, "Third Day"
Number Eight - Nichole Nordeman, "Wide Eyed"
Number Seven - Caedmon's Call, "Caedmon's Call"
Number Six - Nichole Nordeman, "This Mystery" (no kidding... a fabulous album that has gotten better as the years have gone by)
Nichole Nordeman's second album does a couple of things... it avoids the "sophomore jinx", or following up a great first album with a subpar second album, and it puts Nordeman into a select group of artists that follows up a great album with an incredibly great album... ie, dcTalk, WaterMark, Audio Adrenaline.
Nordeman is becoming a masterful writer of worship and storytelling, touching on a range of emotions and theology on "This Mystery". The title track confronts the question of the mystery that is God, while fare like Tremble speaks of fearing God, Fool for You speaks of a willingness to be open in faith, and a great Stevie Wonder (!) cover, As, tells of His great love for us. Perhaps her greatest achievment, however, falls on the final track, a live version of her song Why. It is this song that caps off the album, sealing her forever in my mind as a blessed writer of love, as she tells of a little girl who witnesses the persecution of Christ, and in her innocent mind, can only ask "Why?"
Hillary Kelley wrote a few weeks ago of Nordeman's insights into the Christian walk on her (Nichole's, not Hillary's) first cd, "Wide Eyed". That continues here. -- DW ed
